Top journalist reveals Alexis Sanchez’ replacement

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Borrusia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to replace wantaway striker, Alexis Sanchez who is close to leaving the Emirates stadium. The 29-year-old Chilean is in the final 6 months of his contract at Arsenal, and has failed to give assurances about his future, with interest from Manchester City reaching fever pitch last summer.

Aubameyang, 28, would be open to leaving Germany, as he has looked disillusioned with life at Westfalenstadion, as he has been the subject of discipline for his misdemeanours by the club as well as falling out with former manager, Peter Bosz. Top football journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio had revealed that Arsenal are looking to sign the Gabon international who will be a superstar signing and is a capable replacement for the 29 year old Sanchez.

Aubameyang is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in world football, as he has netted over 100 goals for the 1997 Champions League winners in the past 4 years. With Alexandre Lacazette struggling for goals this season and Olivier Giroud currently injured, The Gunners are currently light in the goalscoring department and Aubameyang will be a perfect fit.

The likes of Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid have all been linked to his signature which means that he will be a valuable addition to the Arsenal team. Di Marzio, the Italian journalist is a widely respected sports media personality known for his accurate predictions about the transfer activity of the biggest clubs and players in world football, and it is interesting to see whether this transfer speculation will bear fruits.

Aubameyang has never hidden his intention to play in the Premier League as his attributes of finishing, pace, and power are all suited to the English game. With his club also open to letting him leave, his transfer fee won’t come at a premium as compared to other world class players that can replace Sanchez adequately.

Aubameyang scored 31 Bundesliga goals last season to finish as top scorer in the German top flight and has already more than 20 times this season already. He will add stardust to Arsenal’s attack as his pace and finishing will trouble a lot of defenders in the league.
