Three-pronged Blessing For Arsenal As They Prepare For London Derby

Ahead of their North London derby against bitter rivals, Tottenham, Arsenal have released a full team news inclusive of fitness updates on the club’s official website. Indeed, fate couldn’t be kinder to Arsenal.

In the opening weeks of the season, Unai Emery has rued the absence of several key defenders which probably cost them more than they envisaged at Anfield. Now armed with a firm date on their September returns, Unai could be preparing to up the ante in his tactical approach to games.

Hector Bellerin is said to be “progressing well” as he continues to recover from a cruciate ligament injury. He got the rupture during the Gunner’s victory over Chelsea back in January, and could resume full training as early as September, as he’s stepped up rehab at London Colney in recent weeks.

Greece star, Konstantinos Mavropanos, continues to receive medical attention for a groin injury. Injuries have plagued the towering defender’s time in North London but it is hoped he’s about to put all that behind him this season.

New signing Kieran Tierney crowns the good news list as the former Celtic man’s debut for Arsenal is yet to happen due to a groin injury. The club reports he is aiming for a September return to full training.

The trio might be raring to go, but this weekend’s duel against their city rivals won’t be their time, as both sides seek a return to winning ways after last weekend’s losses.
