  1. Yey Chamakh is not good enough for Arsenal. If Adebayor goes I just want to see Huntelaar or Gignac in Arsenal.

And does Melo is really what we need??
I see him as a good passer in a kind of Xabi Alonso and I dont know if thats the kind of player that Cesc needs to partner.

    I prefer Hitzlsperger.

And I read in the spanish diary that Atletico Madrid will try to sign Eboue for around 8mill.

  2. I’m not convinced with Melo. He is an incredible passer of the ball with a exquisite eye for an opening. He also has good engine and covers a lot of ground a la Flamini. However, he tackles like poor Denilson and tends to be red-carded. We must buy a DM who satisfies these three criterias: vision, stamina, and pure ball-winner.

  3. Not only does Melo do what Flamini did for us but he can also contriubte in attack and interchange with Cesc, Rosicky and Nasri.

  4. yupa melo is so perfct.. sign zidan, the egyption is also a good addition to da gunner..it may be cheap but quality!! his dribbling against brazil was so stunning..

  5. David Villa is a great player, better than Torres imo, pity he doesnt get the credit he deserves b/c of the club he plays for.

Melo? Sign him up! Im looking forward to watching him take on Italy tonight.

  6. Villa gets plenty of credit IMO… Best striker out there for me.

And I know quite a bit about Zidan from Egypt- I do think he would be a capable striker at a top club but I doubt he would be a long term starter. Not what we need to replace Ade though

  7. melo is good for arsenal, but cesc wants xabi Alonso. buy Alonso to ty down cesc more

  8. Your below sentence is wrong as people from Belgium speaks French just similar to Africans. Any ways I dont what nationality a players is so long as he proves his worth to the club.

Experienced Arsenal blogger Goodplaya gives his take on the signing of Thomas Vermaelen, choosing to comment on the fallacy that Arsene Wenger signs too many French and African players.

  9. We are never going to sign Flamini ever again. Arsene Wenger will never do that. Melo seems a nice addition but if Inter is in for him then we know the obvious choice he will take. The likely chance of Melo coming is quite slim.

  10. Welcome to The Emirates Thomas “The Tank (Hopefully) Vermeulen! Been hanging for us to get a strong DM since departures of Gilberto & Flamini(SO spewing he’s gone). Denilson and Song are good but give them time and competition from another player, that’s older, wiser, experienced (who can guide them as well, they have noone to look up to). I personally feel that a 19/20 year old player is still not fully developed physically which is required when playing at the highest level >> Even if they are not built like a tank, but with age, your body develops to be able to take punishment in top level games. Just my thought… Come on Arsene, Sign Melo or Cana! Get us that DM we need!!(without losing no more than two first Team/Squad players, so we’ve still got depth)and I’ll be stoked!! I suspect there are HOT nurses working at SICK BAY at AFC, why so many injuries? 😉 Gunner for Life!!!

  11. vermalen is good we want DM like Yaya,Mello and buy gallas, end of comment i want team to play for hurry like man u,liver, was notgood pleyer like us but we no what fans we want. next season we don’t see fans of man u laff us. go west go east gunner is the best thans Mr Wenger to do hadwork last season couse bud board we tell us wehave eur to bay any pleayer u want mr wenger at the end ooh take 13uer haaa uer or dolla tolk(inaongea)many take care for this season couse fans dissapier or remin cool.

  12. Melo scored against the Americans in ConfedCup, and is he going to be given up easily by Inter?

  13. David Villa is the best striker in the world..but i could have told you that 4 seasons ago.

Vincente would have been one of the best wingers in the world if not for his constant injuries

  14. i think the addition of melo would be very effective for the upcoming season. a player like melo gives us the support that weve missed really since flamini left, where weve had to rely on patchy performances from song. melo is consistent, tough like flamini but has better vision, his passing is immense, and has some pace about him too.
he would give our defence protection but also looks as though he would push forward effectively along side fabregas giving him much needed support if we played a 4-4-2 which would suit him and us perfectly.

  15. I also think between him and Messi for best Striker in the World. But everyone says Torres, all the pundits and officials give Torres the best Striker title and although Torres is amazing I would pick both Messi and Villa. I frequently have an arguement with my liverpool supporting friend who is better and I think torres is over rated i tell him and he then says i am speaking absolute nonsense and that Torres is best striker in the world and i say no, Villa is better and he says no he isnt, he plays in a crap league, Premier League is best and Torres scores more in Prem than Villa in La Liga but im betting if Villa came to the EPL he would score more than Torres.

  16. Brazilian games lately are very dependent of at least two defensive midfielders (Dunga’s style where they play solid defense and counter attack). From all people, Gilberto is playing that invisible wall we were used to when he was at Arsenal. That ladies and gentlemen gives Melo the freedom of picking and choosing his passes. Did you notice even Gilberto’s passing is much improved? They complement each other well. He is very similar to Gilberto, but faster and younger. He gets involved in attack because Gilberto stays back plus Robinho and Kaka hold the ball long enough to bring him into the box. My point is that let’s not put all our eggs in one basket. He plays well in Italy where games are technical and slower. Brazil is Brazil, where he has the support of every player who is technically gifted. This is not criticism to Melo, but caution to our enthusiasm. He just came into the scene recently. Other than South American qualification this probably is his first senior tournament for Brazil. Just my two cents.

  17. Ive hardly seen Melo play so i wont suggest he is definately what we need cos thats stupid. But if we put in a bid for him with the intent he’l sign then il consider saying he must be a good player but if we dont i wont cry about it. I remember we did this with Babel at the u21 championships and in the end we didnt even miss him when he went 2 liverpool.

  18. Hi am an arsenal fan from tanzania .well all i think is that arsenal needs a midfielder like yaya, sena,
essien, or mascherano arsenal do not need any more passers because arsenal have got cesc and rosisky plus arsenal needs more defenders and strikers just in case of injuries.we also need players with experience

  19. please take a player from iran because iran have best player but you are dont know them

  20. magnificent publish, very informative. I ponder why the other specialists of this sector do not realize this. You must proceed your writing. I am sure, you’ve a great readers’ base already!
