Premier League giants Arsenal are closing in on the signing of PSG teenager Yacine Adli.

This is according to a report from Goal.com who report that Unai Emery is pushing the deal ahead for the attacking midfield sensation, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in French football. Emery gave the youngster his PSG debut in the last game of last season in their game against Caen. He played just seven minutes of the goalless draw but still showed glimpses of his quality in his short cameo appearance.

He has apparently been persuaded by Emery to join him at Arsenal and rejected the chance to stay in France with the Ligue 1 champions and Goal report that The Gunners will sign the French Youth International for a small compensation fee of £223.000. He will sign a three-year contract at The Emirates Stadium, with the option to extend his stay for a further two years and here is how he will look in the Arsenal jersey when the deal is officially announced.

Speaking in March, Adli was full of praise for Emery, stating that the former Sevilla manager has been instrumental in his development by inviting him to train with the senior players at PSG. He said, “I think I’ve become more mature, largely thanks to my integration into the adult game with the reserves, certain training sessions with the professionals.

Adli doesn’t boast much first team experience but is a supremely gifted player and was part of the PSG squad that played in the UEFA Youth League this term. He has played for his country at Under-16, U17 and U18 levels, and has scored an impressive 13 goals in just 23 matches. While not being one to immediately to slot into the Arsenal setup, he is definitely one to watch for the future.
