Ozil starts – Emery’s probable 4-2-3-1 XI for Arsenal v Manchester United

Arsenal host Manchester United in the pick of the FA Cup 4th-round fixtures on Friday night as Unai Emery seeks to win a trophy in his first campaign at The Emirates Stadium.

The game comes off the back of a morale-boosting Arsenal victory over Chelsea, safe in the knowledge that a win against in-form Manchester United will help galvanize the season and help towards making it a successful first campaign for Unai Emery. This is the 15th time the teams have met in the competition, with both teams winning 7 matches a piece so fans can place money on new betting sites enticing new customers with huge welcome offer, we take a look at how Emery can lineup his team.

Goalkeeper

Petr Cech should start this game as he is the club’s cup goalkeeper after losing his place to German goalie, Bernd Leno. The legendary goalkeeper has decided to hang up his gloves at the end of the season and will want nothing more than to leave with a trophy.

Defence

Nacho Monreal is fit again and should play at left back, the Spanish international has not been at his best this term due to a culmination of injuries and form concerns and will use this opportunity to stake a place for first team football.

In the heart of defence, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi have formed a good partnership, repelling everything that comes their way. At right back, in the absence of Hector Bellerin, Stephan Lichtsteiner should come in ahead of Ainsley Maitland-Niles as the veteran has trophy-winning experience and big-game mentality.

Midfield

Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira will have a huge task on their hands in stopping the United midfield, but both men have struck a somewhat telepathic understanding in the middle of the park. Torreira has gone off the boil in recent weeks, but against a physical United lineup, could struggle with more work to do.

In attacking midfield, Alex Iwobi should come in from the left. The Nigerian international has impressed anytime he has been given the opportunity to play this season. In the hole behind the striker, Mesut Ozil is a big game away from confirming or debunking the thoughts of his Manager about him. He has struggled for game time this season but should be in line to play this one. On the right, young Englishman, Joe Willock could feature. He scored twice in the last round against Blackpool and is highly thought of at the club.

Attack

Alexandre Lacazette needs goals at the moment, and should be starting the game on Friday night as the leading striker.
