It was supposed to be a close match as the Gunners have failed to win any of their games in the Premier League this season without Manchester United bound Alexis Sanchez but reverse was the case as the hosts blitz pass the Roy Hodgson led side.
The Gunners recorded their first win of the year in grand style having failed to win any of their last five games across all competitions.
Goals from Nacho Monreal, Alex Iwobi, Laurent Koscienly and Alexandre Lacazette and a consolation goal from Luka Milivojevic secured a comfortable 4-1 victory against the Eagles at the Emirates Stadium.
An inspired Arsenal side couldn’t have started the game any better after opening the scoring in the 6th minute via a header after a beautiful delivery from Granit Xhaka from the right hand side of the corner while an awful defending from the Palace defenders in the 10th minute enabled a pull back from Nacho Monreal to setup Alex Iwobi for the Gunners second goal of the game.
Meanwhile, in the 13th minute Nacho Monreal got his second assist of the game having assisted Laurent Koscienly to add to the Gunners tally.
However, a wonderful back-heel flick from German playmaker, Mesut Ozil to Alexandre Lacazette in the 22nd minute allowed the Frenchman to end his goal drought and put the game beyond the Eagles reach.

Also Wenger doesn't get enough credit for signing Monreal for £10 million. Up there with his best signings.

Arsenal were brilliant for the 30 minutes that Monreal was on the pitch.
They've been pretty poor for the last few weeks when he's been missing.

Despite playing only 33 minutes before being replaced by Maitland Niles due to an injury his impact was hugely felt having completed 94% of his passes, created 3 chances, provided two assists, scored a goal and won one tackle.
With the uncertainty surrounding the future of Manchester United bound Alexis Sanchez over, the Gunners looked sharp and revitalized and would go into the Carabao Cup second leg semi-final against London rivals, Chelsea at the Emirates in mid-week with huge confidence.
