Arsenal open contract talks with Bordeaux for Malcom, £45m sees deal done

Arsenal are willing to steal a march on Premier League rivals, Tottenham and Manchester United in the race for 20-year-old Brazilian winger, Malcom. The Bordeaux youngster is currently attracting a lot of attention from a host of top Premier League sides after his brilliant displays in the French Ligue 1 this season, despite his club languishing towards the bottom part of the league table.
The Mirror reports that Arsenal are ready to bid for the pacy winger as a direct replacement for seemingly Manchester City-bound Alexis Sanchez who is expected to leave the club this winter.

German outfit, Borrusia Dormtund had a £35 million bid rejected for Malcom last summer, as his club  are believed to be comfortable with a £45 million offer before agreeing to sell their prized asset. Since his arrival from Corinthians some two years ago, the young Brazilian has quickly developed into one of the brightest prospects playing in Europe.

Arsenal are resigned to seeing Alexis leave the Emirates given that the 29-year-old has refused all offers to extend his contract and the club would be looking to sell him so as not to lose him on a free in the summer.

While Malcom is certainly not on the same level as the Chilean, he has massive potential that can see him rise to become one of the best players in world football in the nearest future.

He recently uploaded a picture of him learning English on Instagram, which means that he may also be interested in moving across the Channel from France. He has played 18 times this season for the former French champions, scoring 7 goals and creating four more.
