A very warm hello to everybody in the Arsenal FC Blog community.
As you’ve probably noticed by now it is Christmas time and, love it or hate it, that generally means a short break from blogging duties as I catch up with family and friends and enjoy the holiday period. This Christmas is a little different to the last few, with the move to Berlin leaving me quite a distance away from my family in Australia, so I decided to travel to Sweden and spend the time with my good friend Gustav and his lovely family in Linköping.
It is just outside Linköping in the Swedish countryside that I recorded the following Christmas message for all the readers of AFCB.
Just to add to the message I want to say a firm thanks to those who have specifically helped me with improving and developing the blog this year. To Mike Urbanski for his wonderful coverage while I was galavanting around for Football Nomad during the World Cup; to Mel Baxter for her wonderful support in setting up the The AFCB Shop; to Darragh Murray, Andrew Enloe, Daniel Brookes, Yemi Jr, Andrew Luck, Fatema Farhat and Aaron Gordon for providing wonderful written content during the year and last but not least Ryu Voelkel for his beautiful photography.
There will be plenty of things in store for 2011 as I continue to get stuck into the world of football writing in Europe and I sincerely hope you all stick around for the ride.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Sincerely,
Andrew
I wish you the same AW
Merry Christmas to you too Andrew. Lets beat Chelsea to top off the year!

Nice one, Andrew, great to put a face to the name. All I want for Christmas is a ….centre half.
@ Charlie – I explained a little while ago why. Bit too busy to juggle everybody’s contributions, particularly because the only form of income I get from the blog is through the new shop and I’ve gotta work a full-time job and pay the rent.
@ Everyone else – Happy Christmas again! Cheers for the messages.
Enjoy Sweden! We were there for most of the World Cup, inluding the All-Star pub in Umea with it’s 50 tv screens! Glad to get a new link. The snowed out match v. Stoke was a real blessing for you, I reckon! Gooners forever!
