West Ham v Arsenal betting preview

Arsenal travel to nearby Upton Park to take on West Ham, and look terrific value at even money (2) with Betfred to come away with all three points
It’s the second derby in week for the Gunners, who were unlucky not to come away with a point when losing 2-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when Olivier Giroud missed a sitter in the dying minutes.
However they quickly got back to winning ways with a 2-1 Champions League win over Olympiacos in midweek, and the stats suggest they will prove too strong for the Hammers.
They have won the last four league encounters between the two sides at Upton Park, and although they come into the game one position below their opponents in 8th place that severely flatters West Ham.
Sam Allardyce’s men have had a soft start to the season and not faced any of the top clubs.
They managed only draws against Norwich and Sunderland, and an on-song Arsenal should prove far too hot to handle.
The last time the pair met in this fixture was back in 2010/11 when Arsene Wenger’s side ran out easy 3-0 winners.
That scoreline is priced up at 17 with Boylesports and looks worth a small wager.
Over 2.5 goals also looks a decent punt at 1.8 with bet365, while the value in the goalscoring markets could well lie with Gervinho.
His new role playing through the middle has seen him score in four of his last five matches and against a week defence he looks too big a price at 3.25 with Boylesports to net anytime during the 90 minutes.
Finally, the other bet that really appeals is backing Arsenal to be winning at half time and full time at 3 with Boylesports andPaddy Power.
