Arsene Wenger is scared of retirement or life after football as it were, the management of the club are scared of losing the French coach and so, what we have at Arsenal is a marriage of convenience and not of competence. Why keep a man that has failed over the years to prove his mettle?

The Gunners managed to survive an onslaught on the opening day of the Premier league against the Foxes but were torn apart by Stoke City and Liverpool in match day 2 and 3 of the league. There is currently a great divide between the Gunners fans as to the descent of the club but while Wenger is expect to dive into the transfer market for panic buys, it appears that the team will be further decimated with the sale of some key players.

Arsenal have signed on two players in the transfer window but one of the players came on a free. The Gunners have also sold Gabriel Paulista and Wenger had revealed that he cannot manage the headcount of the players within his purview.

Arsenal have agree a £35million deal with Chelsea for the transfer of English attacking player Chamberlain, as confirmed by Skysport.

Chamberlain has refused to put pen to paper on an improved contract with Arsenal despite the club’s willingness to make him the most paid player of the club. He rejected a £180k-per-week contract but he may not even earn as much at Chelsea, per report.

Wenger had revealed that he wants the future of the club to be built around Chamberlain but the inherent collapse of the club has accounted for his decision to jump the ship the Arsenal’s capital rival.

Chamberlain is the most versatile Arsenal player, he will provide depth and option to the squad of the Blues.

Shkodran Mustafi

Mustafi was left on the bench as Arsenal were thumped by Liverpool on Sunday. The star has agreed personal terms with San Siro giants Inter Milan and there are reports that negotiation for his transfer has advanced.

He was signed from Valencia last summer in a £35million deal but Arsenal will accept the excess of £20million for his transfer, according to the Mirror.

Arsenal are linked with a move for Virgil Van Dijk and the Dutch star may come in as a direct replacement for the Inter Milan bound Mustafi.
