Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a move for Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang after agreeing personal terms with the Gabonese.
The Gabon international has been earmarked as a direct replacement for Manchester United bound Alexis Sanchez by Arsene Wenger.
Reports from Sky Italia suggest the Gunners have agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with the striker with a weekly wages of £170,000 ahead of a potential move to the Emirates this January transfer window.
The Gunners are still in advanced talks with the German outfit as we hope to agree a fee for the striker but it is believed a fee in the region of £53 million should be enough to lure away the centre forward from the Signal Iduna Park this month.
However, it is believed the Gabonese forward is closing in on a move to Arsenal after being dropped from Borussia Dortmund matchday squad to face Hertha Berlin on Friday.
His antics off the field has left the Bundesliga giants hierarchy frustrated and could be open to part ways with the former AC Milan striker once a replacement is signed before the end of this January transfer window.
He was recently left out of the goalless draw against Wolfsburg on Sunday after he missed an important team meeting.
The 28-year-old is one of the deadliest strikers in the world and would fill the void left by Alexis Sanchez given his level of consistency overtime and would be key in the Gunners hunt for a top four finish.
The 28-year-old has featured in 23 games across all competitions for the German outfit scoring 21 times and providing three assists.
