French international Alexandre Lacazatte scored a brace as the Gunners secured a nervy win against the Baggies at the Emirates last night. It could have been a nightmare start for the Gunners as Jay Rodriguez was denied a clear penalty in the fifth minute by Bobby Madley after the striker was fouled by Shkodran Mustafi in the Arsenal penalty area, but the club record signing seems to have found a new home at the Emirates.
He continued his excellent home form at home by becoming the first player to score in his first three home games since Brian Marwood in 1988. The win moved the Gunners up to seventh on the table and are just a point adrift the top four.
Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazatte joined the Gunners from French side Lyon in a record breaking £52 million move this summer. Although, many thought the Frenchman would struggle to cope with the rigors of the Premier League in his first season but he has proved doubters wrong by scoring four goals in his first six Premier League matches.
The 26-year-old put the Gunners ahead in the 20th minute courtesy a brilliant free-kick from Alexis Sanchez that was tipped by Forster with the Frenchman beating the Baggies defender quickly to score a free header. In the 67th minute he added to his tally for the night via a penalty after Aaron Ramsey was fouled in the box by West Brom defender Nyom in the box.

So Alexandre ‘no aerial threat’ Lacazette has scored half his goals for Arsenal from headers? 🤔

Lacazette has got into very good scoring positions in every game. Denied a perfect goal against Stoke and fucked up a chance at Chelsea.

A decent performance from #AFC tonight largely in part to Lacazette. Looks like we finally have ourselves a goal poacher.

Lacazette has already debunked the myth that players need time to adapt to the PL. If you're good enough, you're good enough.

Lacazette loves scoring at the Emirates, just needs that one away goal to get him rolling properly! #AFC
