Good News: Arsenal target submits transfer request

According to reports, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has handed in a transfer request at Borrusia Dortmund in a bid to force his way away from the Bundesliga outfit. The 28-year-old has been the subject of interest from Arsenal who are looking to sign the striker to replace Alexis Sanchez who is close to the exit door at the Emirates. Aubameyang has opened the door to an exit from the Signal Iduna Park as he was dropped from the squad for the game against Wolfsburg at the weekend.

The Metro reports that the striker has now handed in a transfer request, which will mean that there is no way back at the club for the former St. Etienne man. Aubameyang has consistently fallen foul of a number of disciplinary issues at the club, and it is believed that they want to let him go for around £60 million, though Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger is believed not to be too keen on the deal.

New recruitment chief, Sven Mislintat is reported to be championing the cause for the signature of the player. The likes of PSG, Real Madrid and Chelsea have all been linked to him previously, but those clubs have shelved plans to sign him, leaving Arsenal as the sole favourites to sign the player.

He has never hidden his ambition to play in the Premier League, and will hope to use Arsenal as a platform to show the world what he can do. He will help offset the loss of Sanchez and the recent bad results that have permeated the Emirates Stadium. He is fast, can shoot and will offer remarkable finishing to Arsenal’s first team.

He is predominantly used as a striker but can also play as a winger on either flank. He will be a good signing but Arsenal must be wary of his disciplinary issues.

He won the Bundesliga Golden Boot last season ahead of Robert Lewandowski when he scored 31 times and has already registered 21 goals in 23 matches this term.
