Arsenal possible signings in January according to bookmakers

The January transfer window open in matter of days and clubs have been linked with loads of players. Arsenal is not left out of the chase to get new names to the Emirates. Same as players are also keen on leaving the Emirates.

Alexis Sanchez top the list of players touted to be on their way out. Nothing is certain about his future at the Emirates yet, and similar things can be said of Mesut Ozil.

However, Ozil have been rumored to be willing to sign a new deal in January. So we consider players that could be on their way to joining the gunners as additions or replacement for possible departures.

Steven Nzonzi

The Sevila midfielder was left out of the team that travelled to Anfield during the week to face Liverpool in the Champions league and was also left out of the league game this weekend against Real Madrid. Nzonzi is touted to be heading for the Emirates. We get the best odds at 888sport for a possible Nzonzi to Arsenal move.

The 28-year-old was spotted in London during the week which also compounded the fact that he wants to join Arsenal. Being a defensive midfielder, that gives Arsenal the possible option of signing a natural defensive midfielder in the French footballer.

The combination of Xhaka and Ramsey in the midfield needs a big competition from a player in Nzonzi mould as Elneny provides with little of that. Everton are also interested in having him in January. He would not cost Arsenal more than £20-25m as he’s ready to force the move out of Spain.

Julian Draxler

There hardly goes a transfer window in which Draxler is not linked with a move to the Emirates. This time around seems something might finally happen.

The number of attacking options at PSG means that some players have to make way. Among the names branded to leave are Julian Draxler, Di Maria, and Lucas Moura. The three players are all linked with Arsenal but it seems it’s the Draxler move that is most likely to materialize.

The player once played along Arsenal’s Sead Kolasinac at Schalke and both are still good friends. His relationship with his countrymen, Mesut Ozil and Shkrodran Mustafi could also help in bringing him to the Emirates. PSG will allow him leave for around £40m as they are willing to recoup some cash after their last summer exploit in the transfer market.

Leon Goretzka

Another German that is on Arsenal’s radar is Schalke midfielder, Leon Goretzka. The midfielder name popped up after last summer confederations cup where he starred for Germany in Russia as he helped his country win the tournament. The 22-year-old has been a force in the middle of the park for Schalke in the Bundesliga.

Many see him as a potential player for Arsenal going into the future. His experience in the Bundesliga at 22 commanding the midfield of a team like Schalke have placed him top among the next generation of German players. Arsenal will have to pay around £30-40m if he’s to move to the Emirates come January.
