3-4-3: Strongest probable lineup to defeat Huddersfield

Arsenal host newly promoted side Huddersfield at the Emirates tonight and will be hoping to maintain our 100% record at home in the Premier League so far this season winning all six and have kept four cleansheet.

The Gunners will be aiming for their third straight victory in the Premier League having won back-to-back games against rivals Tottenham and at Turf Moor last weekend.

However, the Terriers are expected to provide a stern test for the Gunners after the David Wagner’s side made Premier League leaders Manchester City struggle for their record 11th straight win in the league, but the Gunners will be buoyed by the Terriers struggle away from home and will be hoping to heap more misery on the newly promoted side who have conceded 12, scored none and are winless in their last six away games.

We take a look at the Gunners predicted lineup against Huddersfield.

Goalkeeper

Petr Cech is expected to remain in goal barring any injury worries and will be hoping for a third consecutive cleansheet against the Terriers having failed to concede in our last two matches in the Premier League.

Defence

Arsene Wenger is expected to name an unchanged back three with the trio of Nacho Monreal, Mustafi and Laurent Koscienly are all expected to keep their place at the back.

German international, Shkodran Mustafi who was a rock at the back for the Gunners against the Clarets last weekend will be hoping to put in another solid performance against Huddersfield tonight and he is expected to play in the centre-half position while Laurent Koscienly and Nacho Monreal are expected to play on the right and left side of the defence respectively.

Midfield

A midfield quartet is expected with the wing backs offering more threat going forward. Hector Bellerin and Dead Kolasinac are expected to support the attack by offering more width on the left and right flank of the midfield respectively, and not forgetting their defensive duties.

A central midfield pairing of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey is expected to Marshall the midfield. Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey was key in our win against the Clarets at Turf Moor last weekend having won a last minute penalty for us after he was brought down in the box.

Attack

A front three of Alexis Sanchez, Alexandre Lacazette, and Alex Iwobi is expected to retain their place and lead the line against the Terriers tonight.

Wantaway striker Alexis Sanchez will be hoping to continue his fine form in front of goal having scored in his last two Premier League games against rivals Tottenham and also converting a last minute penalty against Burnley on Sunday.

Probable lineup: Petr Cech, Monreal, Mustafi, Koscienly, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Xhaka, Bellerin, Sanchez, Lacazette, Iwobi.

  1. This is not enough, I prefer that to play 5 defensive with five attackers, Ex, Petr Cech, Monreal, Mustafi, Koscienly, Bellerin and Xhaka are covering necessary defensive, while Ramsey, Sanchez, Welback, Lacazette and Giroud are attacking.
